2021 Bake Off

This year was our 5th Annual Christmas Cookie Bake-Off with sisters & their daughters.

Sarah - Chocolate Peppermint Crinkles,  Oreo Balls, 

Katelyn - Andes Mint Cookies,  Peanut Butter Blossoms

Janet - Rolo Pretzels,  PB Ritz Cookies,  Sugar Cut-Outs [*Powdered Sugar Frosting]

Kari - Peanut Butter Fudge Cups, Coconut Balls, Spritz Cookie,  Mounds Coconut Drops, Choc Covered Holiday Pretzels, No-Bake Cookies -w- Oatmeal

Ashley -  Rice Krispie Holiday Sprinkle Balls, Marshmellow Corn Flake Wreaths  

Lori & Miranda -  *Treasure Cookies,  *Gumdrop Slice Cookies,  *Apple Cinnamon Chex Mix 

* This year we even got to "smear" the cookies with (Mom's) old fashioned powdered sugar frosting instead of our usual Royal icing detailed cookies. 

   I smeared on the frosting and Sarah's kids did the Dipping/Sprinkles.

* Treasure Cookie variation with White Choc Chips and Dried Cranberries was EXCELLENT !!!

* Gumdrop sliced cookies were substituted with Cherry and Lime Jingle Bell Gumdrops instead of the SPICED gumdrops but still worked out fairly well.

* Apple Cinnamon Chex Mix was a huge FAIL so guess we don't try that one again lol.

- Sister Mary in Oklahoma  sent up also Gramma/Mom t-shirts, and Towels to commemorate this year's get together.

- Sarah and Katelyn got us our "holiday socks" we've been discussing since the 2nd year :) and ordered a photo "baking" ornament for us.

 - And Janet also surprised us with Ghirardelli chocolates and Pirouline Dark Chocolate Rolled Wafers. Yum !!!!
