Grinchy Christmas Cookies

White Cake Mix

1/3 cup oil

2 eggs

1 tsp mint extract

Green food coloring

36 Hershey's Candy Cane Hugs unwrapped

1 tablespoon green sugar crystals (optional)

1 tablespoon red sugar crystals (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a mixing bowl place the dry cake mix, butter, eggs and oil. Mix until well combined.
- Add green food coloring until desired color of green is reached.
- Bake 8-10 minutes until done taking care not to let cookies brown as it will become hard.
- Remove from oven and let sit 2 minutes before placing on wire rack to cool completely.
- Using one candy cane hug. place in center of warm cookie til set.
- If you want plain Hershey Kiss Cookies, feel free to leave out the mint and the green food coloring. Or go crazy and add in almond extract (just not 2 teaspoons!)
-- Try using some of the holiday varieties of kisses or Hugs instead like "heart-shaped gumdrops" to mix things up!
- Roll the cookies in nonpareils before baking for a festive touch.
