Grinch Crinkle Cookie2

A New Twist on the French Vanilla cake mix Grinch Cookie recipe I have been doing over the past few years.


Ingredients:

    1 15.25 box French Vanilla Cake mix
    1/3 Cup vegetable oil
    2 large eggs [room temperature]
    Red Gel Food Coloring
    Leaf Green Gel food coloring
    1 container of white sanding sugar


DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat oven at 350ยบ F.
2. Using a standing mixer, combine cake mix, oil and eggs until combined.
Divide the batter into two separate bowls. (I use a large bowl for each color)
3. Mix red food coloring into one bowl- Mix green food coloring into the second bowl
4. Take about 2 tbsp of red color of dough and 1 tbsp of the green dough and form into small sized balls.
5. Pour the sanding sugar into a bowl. Roll cookie dough into the white sanding sugar.
6. Place cookie dough balls about 2 inches apart on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
7. Lightly push each cookie dough ball down so that it becomes a thick but flat disk on cookie sheets.
8. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. ( DO NOT OVER-BAKE or they will not be a soft cookie. They will look undone but don't be concerned as they still "bake" while cooling.)
9. Allow sugar cookie to completely cool completely on wax paper before enjoying!
