Haystack Variations

Thee original "No Bake NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Haystack Cookies" is an easy cookie recipe made with creamy peanut butter, butterscotch chips, crunchy chow mien noodles, and salty peanuts.

:: Classic Vintage Haystacks ::

Ingredients
1 cup butterscotch chips (recommend: Nestle Toll House brand)
½ cup peanut butter
½ cup salted peanuts
2 cups chow mein noodles (La Choy brand recommended)

Instructions
1. In a large bowl, microwave the butterscotch chips and peanut butter on 50% power for 3 to 5 minutes or until the chips have melted, stirring after each one minute increment.
2. Remove from the microwave and stir in the peanuts and chow mein noodles.
3. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed or parchment paper. Let sit until completely cooled and firm. It may take several hours for the candy to become firm.

* Notes
- It’s important to use 50% power on the microwave or you’ll wind up with butterscotch chips that have seized or burned. Stir the mixture every minute. - Alternately, you can melt the chips and peanut butter in the top of a double boiler.
Storage: Best stored at room temperature. Refrigerating the haystacks tends to make them too firm. Place the finished candy in an airtight container and keep for 5 to 7 days (they would be fine for longer but the noodles tend to become stale after a while).
- Freezing: Not recommended.

:: TING-A-LINGS

Ingredients :
12 ounces milk chocolate chips
12 ounces butterscotch chips
12 ounces chow mein noodles
1/4 cup sprinkles 
Instructions :

1. Pour the NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® chips in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Cook on high for 20 seconds. Stir the mixture. Cook on high for another 20 seconds & stir. Repeat this process until the butterscotch chip are melted & mixture is smooth. ( 2 minutes approximately - Alternatively, you can melt the mixture on the stovetop in a double boiler. )

2. Add the noodles to the mixture. Gently stir until all of the noodles & are coated.

3. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Add some holiday sprinkles. Let cool until set. Enjoy

PEANUT BUTTER

  1 cup peanut butter chips [ or substitute butterscotch chips]
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup salted peanuts
2 cups chow mein noodles 


BUTTERSCOTCH

  1 2/3 cups (11-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Butterscotch Flavored Morsels
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 can (8.5 oz.) or 2 cans (5 oz. each) chow mein noodles
3 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows


GOLDEN GRAHAM's S'MORE VERSION
 1 (11-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® premier white OR semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1/2 cup Peter Pan® Creamy Peanut Butter
2 cups Golden Grahams® Cereal
3/4 cup miniature marshmallows


GRINCH HAYSTACKS

  16 ounces white bark or white chocolate
3 cups chow mein noodles
Green food coloring
Holiday sprinkles optional
