Making Cookies from Cake Mix (aka: Box Cake Mix Hacks) means you don’t have to buy a-lot of ingredients and you simply can’t mess up. Fluffy, flavorful, amazing cookies every time.
The Difference between a cookie mix and cake mix is this:
- Cookies are mixed to make dough – a thicker, denser texture.
- Cakes are mixed as a much thinner batter.
( DO NOT OVER-BAKE or they will not be a soft cookie. They will look undone but don't be concerned as they still "bake" while cooling.)
BASIC RECIPE
- 1 (15 ¼ oz.) box of cake mix any flavor
2 eggs
1/4 cup vegetable oil
frosting, sprinkles, powdered sugar optional
Note: - If using the 18.25 oz. cake mix box... then increase oil to 1/3 cup
DIRECTIONS
-
Step #1 - Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Step #2 - Mix oil and eggs together with a fork - add DRY cake mix, fold all ingredients together.
Step #3 - Roll cookies into golf-ball sized balls and place them onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step #4 - Cook for 7-9 minutes or until the edges start to brown. Do not overbake.
